The button is recessed into the housing, and activation can be configured to require a double-press or long-press rather than a single tap, both of which make accidental triggering while carrying it far less likely.
Up to 5 years on the single CR2032 battery. The device checks its own battery health daily and reports it to the hub, so you’ll get advance warning well before it needs replacing.
A single Button unit is configured for one mode at a time (Panic, Control, or Mute Fire Alarm). If you need both functions available, we’ll typically recommend a second unit or a different press pattern assigned to each function during setup.
