Our SIM service is billed annually, without a long-term lock-in contract. We check any existing dealer-managed subscription before advising on a change.
Mobile backup when your internet goes down
An active Ajax SIM gives a compatible hub an alternative mobile communication path if its normal broadband connection fails. Ajax SIM supports multiple mobile networks and can switch between available networks.
Without working mobile backup, remote app notifications and alarm signals can be interrupted during an nbn or router outage. During a power failure, the hub also needs enough backup battery power and available mobile coverage.

Text 0406 432 691 with a brief description of the problem. Include your hub model or Hub ID if available. We can explain how to provide authorised access through the Ajax app; do not send your password.
We review the existing service
We assess compatibility, the SIM subscription and installer permissions. An active service managed by another dealer may need to be deactivated before a new arrangement begins. We discuss that process first to avoid an unexpected interruption.
Activate and arrange renewal
Where eligible, we arrange remote activation or renewal and check mobile connectivity. You receive an invoice and an annual renewal reminder. Extra equipment or site work is quoted separately.

Ajax SIM activation & renewal FAQs
Can I renew my Ajax SIM without the original installer?
In some cases, yes. If another dealer manages an active subscription, that service may first need to be deactivated. We check the hub and access arrangements before confirming whether SIPKO Security can activate a new service.
Can I activate Ajax SIM myself?
Certain Ajax services can be activated directly by authorised app users where self-service payment is supported. Availability depends on your location, account permissions and the service. SIPKO Security offers managed activation and local support if you would rather have assistance.
Will I lose my detectors or alarm settings?
SIM activation or renewal does not normally require replacing detectors or rebuilding the alarm. Changing dealer access or system management can involve additional steps; we explain those before making changes.
Do you need to visit my property?
Not always. Eligible hubs with an installed SIM and the necessary access can often be serviced remotely. A visit may be needed for missing hardware, incompatibility or a fault that cannot be resolved remotely.
What if the previous installer still has access?
Installer permissions and SIM subscriptions are separate aspects of management. We review who currently controls each and explain any required changes. We do not reset an existing system without discussing it with you.
What happens if I don’t renew the SIM?
Your hub may still communicate over its main internet connection, but mobile backup may no longer be available. If broadband then fails, remote notifications and signals to a monitoring centre could be interrupted.
Is there a contract or cancellation fee?
SIPKO Security offers the annual SIM service without a long-term lock-in contract. Your subscription covers one paid annual period; renewal and cancellation conditions are confirmed before activation. Any agreement with another provider is separate.
