HiLook Camera Not Showing Video?
When a “No Video” message appears on your monitor or the app shows a blank screen, follow these essential troubleshooting steps to identify the cause.
Step 1 — Check the Power
Make sure your recorder box is switched on and all its indicator lights are lit. If any lights are off, a power issue is likely the cause.
Step 2 — Check the Cables
Unplug and firmly re-plug the cable going into each camera. Outdoor cables can corrode over time — look for any green or rust-coloured residue at the ends.
Step 3 — Restart Your Router
Turn your home router off, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on. Sometimes cameras drop off the network when the router assigns new addresses to other devices.
Step 4 — Update Your App
Open the HiLookVision or Hik-Connect app and check if the device shows as “Online”. If it doesn’t, try deleting and re-adding the device. Old app versions can also be the problem.
