Ajax SIM Compatibility Check for Existing Alarm Hubs
Unsure whether your Ajax Hub has working mobile backup? We can help identify the Hub, SIM status and administrator access before discussing an activation.
Start compatibility checkAlready have an Ajax system? You can select “Not sure” for any technical detail.
What the compatibility check covers
Internet and cellular backup
The app may show your Hub as online through broadband even when its mobile connection is unavailable.
SIM and network status
A card can be physically present but inactive, unsupported or managed by another provider.
Permission to change settings
A previous owner or installer may still control administrator access. That must be clarified before changes.
Before submitting your request
If available, note the Hub model, whether a SIM is installed and whether you can administer the system. If not, simply choose “Not sure”.
Do not open the alarm panel or share QR codes, account passwords, verification codes or full serial numbers.
What happens after your request?
Review your answers
Identify any missing details about the Hub, SIM or administrator permissions.
Clarify what is missing
If necessary, arrange a safe way to confirm the Hub model, service provider or access rights.
Recommend the next step
Explain whether remote activation review, further diagnostics, a site visit or access handover is appropriate.
The assessment does not automatically activate a SIM or start a subscription.
Need activation or renewal instead?

How your answers affect the next step
This is a triage guide, not an automated compatibility verdict. A technician reviews the information before offering a service or quote.
The Hub is unidentified
First establish the exact device model and mobile network capability. Don’t assume compatibility from the Hub’s appearance.
An older 2G / 3G Hub is reported
Hardware compatibility takes priority. A replacement or upgrade may be required before any new mobile arrangement is considered.
No SIM is present
The team checks whether a physical SIM installation is needed. This is not automatically a remote-only task.
A third-party SIM is installed
The existing provider or subscription arrangement needs clarification before changing the mobile connection.
Administrator access is missing
Ownership or authorised access handover must be addressed before SIPKO Security can recommend system changes.
Hub, SIM and access are confirmed
The enquiry can proceed to an assessment of remote activation eligibility. Confirmation of these details is not approval to activate.
Questions about the compatibility check
Can I submit a request without knowing the Hub model?
Yes. Select Not sure. The model can be identified during the follow-up rather than guessed in the form.
Will I be asked to open the alarm panel?
Not as part of this form. Leave the SIM question unanswered if you cannot verify it safely. The technician will advise how to proceed.
What if the previous installer or owner controls the system?
Choose No for administrator access and explain which party currently has control. The authorisation problem will be reviewed before technical changes.
Does this request start a mobile data plan?
No. A SIM plan or hardware change must be discussed and agreed separately after technical eligibility and terms have been confirmed.
