The AJAX TurretCam (8 MP, 4 mm) is a wired AI-powered IP turret camera with a fixed 4 mm lens and a 75 to 85 degree horizontal view, which gives more reach than the 2.8 mm model. It has IR illumination to about 50 m, True WDR, a built-in microphone and records to microSD or an Ajax NVR. It runs on PoE or 12 V and is rated IP66 and IK08 for outdoor and indoor use.

Frequently Asked Questions

They are separate Ajax models. The TurretCam on this page has IR illumination only, up to 164 ft (about 50 m). The TurretCam HL adds hybrid illumination, with a white light as well as IR. Check the model name and code before you order, or ask us and we will confirm it for you.

At 8 MP Ajax lists up to 20 fps in Linear mode and up to 15 fps in HDR mode. Lower resolutions are available if you prefer a different balance of detail and storage.

Either by PoE (802.3at/af, 36 to 57 V, Class 3) over one network cable, or from an external 12 V DC, 1 A supply. Average power use is 8.5 W.

It is rated IP66 and IK08 and operates from -22 to 140 degrees F (about -30 to 60 degrees C) at up to 90% humidity. Ajax lists it for outdoor and indoor use.

Yes. Ajax also lists a 2.8 mm version of the TurretCam 8 MP, with a wider 100 to 110 degree view that suits covering a whole yard or entrance close up. This 4 mm model sees further along a driveway, path or fence line, with a 75 to 85 degree view.
